Infants:
Nurturing, personal care and stimulating activities that encourage exploration
are the highlight of this age level. There is a lot of music, reading, talking
and movement with the children which stimulates a healthy learning environment.
Young Toddlers: Age appropriate
activities, games and toys that will stimulate language development while
learning and having fun are a part of this age class.
Toddlers: Monthly theme units
including activities that will challenge the child's creativeness and
individuality while learning through dramatic play, hands-on learning and
developing confidence.
Preschool: Theme units are taught
in a hands-on learning center environment using math and science skills. Also,
preschool and pre-kindergarten zero in on what a child needs to know before
beginning Kindergarten.
Summer Camp: Weekly themes that
challenge the imagination are a part of the summer day camp program. Also,
weekly field trips center around each theme - not only that - fun is

Corbyn Bartels has always had a heart to serve children and their families, so
she is excited to serve as the Director of the River of God Child Care Center.
Corbyn graduated from Dauphin County Technical
School in 1995 with a concentration in childcare education. She then pursued a
dual major at Evangel University, obtaining a BS degree in Elementary Education
and a BS degree in Special Education with concentrations in behavioral
disorders, learning disabilities and mental retardation. After teaching in the
public school system for four years, Corbyn temporarily stepped out of the
education field to concentrate on raising her four children. In 2005 Corbyn felt
God’s calling on her life to complete her training to obtain her pastoral
credentials, and in 2006 became a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of
God. Corbyn’s heart and desire for the River of God Child Care Center is that
God will use the small seeds planted each day in the lives of the children and
their families to sprout into great miracles. |
